DECEMBER–To workout or not to workout?!

I have been a personal trainer for over 18 years now and there’s always a trend, Nov-Dec are the 2 months when attendance usually drops. I always think to myself.. why do people feel the need not to workout in the months when they know they are going to eat, drink and be merry?! All their hard work throughout the year goes out the door in the last months of the year and then they ask me..why can’t I fit into my NEW YEARS outfit?! Really?! Now is the time more than ever to hit the gym hard because you know you may be intaking all those extra calories. PLUS if it’s your lifestyle there is no “off” time, you know who important it is to keep it a part of your everyday plan.

I encourage you to continue your exercise regimen in this last month, don’t allow the busyness of the Holiday season deter you too far away from taking care of yourself. The gift of Health and Fitness is one of the best gifts to give yourself or a loved one. When we take care of ourselves it filters into all other areas of our lives and we are better for everyone!
