The Road to meeting our Goals…
Yes, it’s now almost the end of January and this is normally when most people start falling off track of their resolutions and others are more motivated than others. Which category do you fall into?
As for me, this is a reason why tangible goals are so important. We must be realistic with ourselves and not set ourselves up for something we not be able to reach in one month. I explain to my clients all the time that change comes with consistency, with dedication and with patience. We all want it ”NOW” and when that doesn’t happen we look for the easiet way out…the “weight loss pill”, surgery, fad diets and whatever we can get our hands on. It’s no wonder that in our society we have chidren’s obesity, how are we to teach our children anything when we can’t seem to stay on track ourselves?!
It seems that something must click in before we finally decide to make the commitment to health. I’m hoping this year in 2012, whatever health and fitness goal you have, you make the commitment to stick with it and see it through. You will be greatly rewarded and never doubt yourself again. It’s an awesome feeling to reach a long term goal that has been such a struggle.
